Now that it is more and more a matter of responsible consumption, it is essential to know the origin of our consumer goods. That is why L’Yerne decided to concentrate on traceability.
Thanks to our performing traceability system we can tell you the whole story about the carrots that are grown, for you, by our farmers.
The carrots are coming from the farmer here below (exept if we have mixted the origin with another farmer)

For 15 years, the Cooperative society L’Yerne has worked a lot on the origin of its carrots: the Hesbaye region.
Why? This agronomic region in Belgium is a geological exception as we cultivate carrots in a silt soil of several meters depth. The carrots of Hesbaye are an agronomic exception: their level of dry material is far higher than average. It gives it an intenser colour, a stronger taste and improves its conservation.
